Company Information

We're currently hiring for our client, a Canadian-based SaaS startup dedicated to bridging care homes and families to ensure families are united and connected all the time even when seniors are in care homes.

The company develops a cloud-based platform for care homes and families using state-of-the-art technology to eliminate frustrations, isolations, and potential risks of accidents for both care homes and families when taking care of senior citizens and upgrading nursery care with ease.

Job Title: Full Stack Engineer

Location: Taiwan

Work mode: Fully remote

Contract: Part-time contractor position under EOR contract (see below for description)

Job Level: Senior-Staff Engineer

Work hours: 20-30 hours per week

Monthly salary: USD$4.5k-5.5k

Job Scope:

As a Senior Fullstack Developer, you will be a key player in designing and implementing the backend architecture as well as the frontend stack that powers our innovative platform. You will work closely with our CTO to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet the needs of our growing user base. Your expertise in modern backend/frontend technologies and cloud infrastructure will drive the development of new features and enhancements, ensuring our platform remains robust, secure, and efficient.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to tackle complex technical challenges, from optimizing database performance to orchestrating microservices in a cloud environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related STEM majors, advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a full-stack developer role.
• Proficient with Nest.js, React.js, Flutter, and Typescript with a track record on the CV.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Solid knowledge and experience with cloud-based architecture (Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), Postgres)
• Experience with AWS (EKS, RDS, VPC), Terraform
• Experience in container technology and microservice architecture.
• Experience in database performance optimization (PostgreSQL).
• Good command of English (written+verbal)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
• Startup experience or ability that could thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and small team environment.
• Self-starter with a willingness to commit at least 20-30 hours per week.

About the employment - EOR hiring

Worca's all-in-one platform simplifies the process of managing payroll and taxes in multiple countries where clients might not have a local entity or legal presence. As our client does not currently have a legal entity in the APAC region, they leverage Worca's HR solutions service to handle in-country labor laws and streamline the complexities of cross-border employment.

Consequently, you will be officially employed by Worca and considered an overseas personnel of our client. Worca will act as their local legal representative, providing support with international payroll, employment compliance, and tax obligations to ensure ongoing employment and labor law compliance. Our client will retain responsibility for critical aspects such as interviews, compensation approval, job content, access rights, and other decision-making processes.
