Senior Lecturer/Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Urban Planning and Design (Ref.: 530409) (to commence from February 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a strong Master's or doctoral degree in urban planning, urban design, urban transportation and urban studies, or related disciplines, preferably with substantial experience in professional practices. Dedication to teaching and nurturing future talents is a must, and prior experiences in teaching postgraduate and undergraduate courses, especially studio courses in universities is highly preferred. Applicants who are members, or eligible for membership of professional institutions in related fields are desirable.
The appointee will substantially contribute to teaching, tutoring and coordinating of postgraduate and undergraduate degree programmes in urban planning, provide a high level of administrative assistance to Programme Directors, and perform other duties as assigned by the Head of the Department or his/her delegates.
A competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for Senior Lecturer/Lecturer, or up to 10% of basic salary for Assistant Lecturer. For Senior Lecturer, housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
