About The Role
As a
ServiceOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and efficiency of Appier's services. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing our service operations, bridging the gap between service management and IT operations. This role demands a deep understanding of modern DevOps practices, allowing you to oversee the full lifecycle of service delivery from design to implementation, and continuous improvement. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include automating routine tasks, managing incidents, and implementing changes with minimal disruption to services.
Responsibilities
- Use of configuration management and deployment tools.
- Maintain services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health.
- Cookbook / runbook implementation for common maintenance actions.
- Incident response, diagnosis and follow-up on system outages or alerts.
- Participate in on-call (remote) rotation.
About You
[Minimum qualifications]
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 2+ years of experience with Linux system administration.
- Proficient with shell and a programming language used in an SRE/Operations engineering context (Python, Golang, etc.)
- Familiar with git.
- Team player and able to work independently.
[Preferred qualifications]
- Experience with operating highly available infrastructure.
- Experience with running applications and services at scale.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Experience in cloud service (AWS, GCP, Azure).
