Job Summary
Supermicro is seeking a Software Design Engineer for their San Jose, CA headquarters. This role will be working within a team to design, implement and maintain our front-end of server management product. Candidate should be self-motivated and eager to satisfy customers need by considering security, performance, optimization and usability in their designs.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop Linux and UEFI in-house utilities with Python, C, Golang or Shell Script languages to use in Automation Testing Systems.
- Integrate various debug and validation software or toolkits from vendors into Automation Testing Systems.
- Coordinate with BIOS, BMC, Management Software, System or Production engineers to clarify issues or test failures.
- Understand Linux operation and configuration.
- Use bug tracking system to fix in-house software bugs for improvement of software quality.
- Use revision control system like SVN or Git to handle software quality.
Qualifications
- Accepted Identities: Working professionals, recent graduates
- Work Experience: No specific requirements; candidates with work experience are preferred
- Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree or higher
- Field of Study: Related to Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Engineering, or Computer Science
- Language Proficiency: English - listening/speaking: basic understanding, reading/writing: intermediate
- Skills: Proficiency in Linux, programming languages such as Python, C, and Shell Script
- Job Skills: Software development, computer architecture
