Hardware Engineering is a diverse, innovative, and collaborative group of electrical, mechanical, reliability, software and vehicle engineers. Our team builds the products which are the eyes and ears of Waymo's autonomous driving technology, and integrate those products into vehicle platforms.
In this hybrid role, you will report to an Engineering Manager
You Will
- Develop SW for test stations to test and characterize board level, subassembly level and system level HW
- Collaborate with Development and Hardware Test Engineering to support troubleshooting of PCBAs, subassemblies and systems and to bring up and to maintain testers worldwide
- Collaborate with our Tool and Infrastructure SWEs to optimize the software infrastructure for linking with CM's manufacturing software systems
- Develop SW tools for data analysis
You Have
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering , Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experiences
- 3+ years of experience in software development
- 3+ years of experience in Python software development
- 3+ years of experience in computer networking
- 3+ years of experience in Linux environment
We Prefer
- Experience in embedded software development
- Experience in board level circuit testing and troubleshooting
- Ability to collaborate with other US-based teams in English
- International experience, particularly in Asia and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of the time
The expected base salary range for this full-time position is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymos discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
