JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Inventory & Pricing Execution leads the activities for maintaining hotel configuration, room type inventory and rate offers supporting Marriott's Global Revenue Management solutions on behalf of a dedicated portfolio of hotels as part of Marriott's Growth Initiatives. The platforms include Marriott's industry leading suite of Revenue Management solutions including High-Performance Pricing (HPP), MARSHA, eFAST, MarRFP, STIBO and Loyalty Redemption capabilities within One Yield. The Senior Manager works in the Marriott systems on behalf of the new hotel partner with a focus on the reservation, inventory availability, rate offer configuration dedicated to a new connectivity solution. This role establishes, documents, and communicates actions resulting from audits and error handling support between Marriott's current and future central reservation systems with the new connection Direct Connect Gateway . This role supports team operations, ensuring that the highest levels of hospitality and service are provided and shares user feedback with our Revenue Management, Reservation, and Distribution Product Owners.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience Required
.High school diploma or GED and 6 years experience in the business, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area OR 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major and 4 years of experience in the business, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area
.Experience with Marriott International's Transient strategies, High Performance Pricing and MARSHA
.Strong understanding of Marriott's Loyalty redemption strategy, terms and conditions, in terms of availability and HPP configuration
.Attention to detail and strong organizations skills
.Proven track record of excellent listening skills and willing to encourage ideas and resolve conflict in a positive manner
Education and Experience Preferred
.Lodging/hospitality industry experience across full service/ and luxury brands
.Experience with One Yield or similar hospitality yield management system which applies a hurdle or restriction methodology
.Experience with EPIC and DAC (or another content and asset management platform)
.Strong understanding of Marriott's Loyalty redemption strategy, terms and conditions, in terms of availability and HPP configuration
.Ability to present to internal and external audiences, as wells as listen openly to feedback, with the result of achieving the best work
.Demonstrates self-confidence and capable of building credibility among peers and senior management
.Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with associates having business or technical backgrounds
.Demonstrates ability to deliver results under challenging conditions
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Revenue Management & Reservations Systems Support Activities
.Leads the day-to-day configuration and maintenance of products in the applicable Marriott Revenue and Reservation Systems in terms of availability, rate, policy, and inventory parity
.Creates, documents, and maintains business process flows amongst the hotel portfolio leadership, and the related Marriott discipline leaders for the distribution and parity compliance of the portfolio direct channels and Marriott channels
.Leads and/or assists as needed in the design of new solutions to continue the growth of rate offers as terms of this partnership evolves into new segments (e.g. group blocks and group attendee solutions, Explore Rate processes and compliance audits, the addition of any Marriott OTA/eChannel partners, new affiliated brand offers, and/or addition of new hotels)
.Is a business partner with hotel leadership, both internal and external, Headquarter Revenue Management and Reservations Platform and Headquarter Distribution teams to define and standardize processes related to this new and unique connection type
.Ensures the proper execution of rate loading requests in HPP for new offers, policy changes and updates to value added messaging
.Ensures proper execution of rate loading in eFAST to ensure compliance through all distribution channels
.Maintains MARSHA VSSM sell strategies, House Deposit, Cancellation, and Guarantee Policies, and room types throughout Marriott's systems on behalf of the new partnership of hotels
.Defines and provides the path of communication to track and inform Delonix and hotel revenue leaders of all configuration updates to the Marriott revenue management and systems impacting the connectivity solution
.Acts as subject matter expert for the proper set up of Special Events to mirror the rate distribution, policies, and availability throughout Marriott's Revenue Management systems to maintain parity in Marriott's channels with the hotel partner's direct channels
.Leads and regularly reports on audits. Audits may include but are not limited to ICD compliance, loyalty eligibility, STIBO mapping files, Stars & Luminous channel compliance (if designated in scope) , and MARTAN file updates
.Researches daily error log reports and takes appropriate action to correct in the Marriott systems
.Researches discrepancies found in SuperNova audits and recommends and influences configuration improvements to improve Best Rate Guarantee results
.Acts as system and subject matter expert for Global Technology support teams to isolate potential root cause for escalated connectivity failures
.Identifies, manages and resolves incidents as they arise and creates or updates documented processes when required
.Monitors Project Mailbox to answer questions as needed
.Acts as primary contact for Global Technology partners to execute rate value recovery steps required in the event of parity discrepancies
.Acts as a Marriott subject matter expert and maintains HQ product relationships to stay informed on system enhancements for key systems the hotel partners will access directly such as Service Now, EPIC, and the Digital Asset Center
.Governs parity for rate and room type configuration to safeguard MI contribution potential for Project Guanxi
.Maintains STIBO Mapping, add new mapping, maintain mapping, delete mapping where necessary
.Works with STIBO/Product Catalog team on future enhancements and requirements
.Maintains onward distribution via OTA and GDS partners, working with key stakeholders within Marriott where required
.Maintains process to facilitate splitting of Multi Rate reservations
.Manages process to maintain 180 days of inventory at each hotel
