Synaptics is looking for a Sr. Software QA Engineer to join our dynamic and growing organization. In this role you will be responsible for validating software/driver functionality and performance, to collaborate cross-functional teams to deliver quality products to our customers. This position reports to the Manager, Software QA.
Job Duties
- Perform automated and manual driver tests according to test plan and create test report.
- Identify, isolate, and document bugs clearly and concisely in bug tracking system.
- Design and develop test methodology to enhance test coverage.
- Work closely with software engineers and cross functional teams to develop quality products.
- Assist product development engineers in diagnosis and replication of product failures.
- Will have the opportunity to participate in automation test development on robots.

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related engineering field, or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience
- Desired knowledge of PC architecture and operating systems
- Capability of programming in C# or Python is a plus
- Experience with common test equipment such as logic analyzer, oscilloscope, function generator, etc. is a plus
- No requirements for travel
