The
Planning Supervisor will lead and manage core demand & supply planning processes and tools for the assigned product portfolio(s). Including identifying and driving improvement projects which minimize stock outs, increase on-time delivery, and control against excess inventory. This role is critical to the success of our go to market strategy ensuring maintenance of the right local inventory levels to support our customer requirements.
The
Planning Supervisor will provide local commercial and operational leaders views on short, medium, and long term risks and opportunities to order fulfilment or inventory, with relevant mitigation strategy and action plans. Additionally, the role includes predicting demand and planning supply and replenishment according using supply chain analytics to avoid sales risks and achieve working capital targets. You will work cross-functionally with Commercial, Finance, Regulatory, Warehouse, Logistics, and global intercompany factory & distribution teams.
This position is based in our Taipei, Taiwan office.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and Manage Demand & Supply Planning: Oversee multiple product portfolio(s) using a structured end to end planning process and approach
- Demand Planning: Develop weekly / monthly demand forecast in collaboration with commercial and finance, understand forward looking local demand requirements to support market demand
- Data Analytics and Tools: Participate in the build out and utilization of data analytics and tools like ABC/Threshold Analysis to segregate demand, understand seasonality, and customer behaviour.
- Supply Planning: Regular review of local inventory levels, safety stock, re-order points, inventory lots, expiration dates, to ensure the proper stocking strategy and replenishment approach for each individual SKU
- Replenishment: Place purchase orders to intercompany factories based on ROP & MOQ requirements
- Supplier Management: Collaborate with global intercompany factories and distribution centers to manage open purchase orders, monitoring performance and ensuring up to date inputs on delivery timelines & performance, supply constraints, and other operational issues which may result in extended lead times for customers or shipment discrepancies
- Inventory Management: Effectively and efficiently manage inventory levels within set targets, including Inventory, DOS, E&O, Fill Rates.
- Improvement Projects: Define and implement improvement projects, identifying root causes and driving corrective and preventive actions with cross-functional teams with a focus on improved order fulfilment and inventory control
- Order Management: Closely collaborate with Customer Service & Commercial team to ensure we are able to provide accurate information on supply availability dates to our customers
- System Familiarity: Leverage local ERP system to drive the planning process
- Data Maintenance: Regularly update necessary master and transactional data required to support demand forecasting and inventory settings, calculate out and maintain planning parameters (MOQ, Lead Time, etc.) for a robust planning process environment.
- Collaborate with Distribution & Logistics: Work closely with Distribution and logistics team to monitor inbound lead times, and warehouse capacity

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree + in Supply Chain or equivalent/related field
- Minimum 5 years relevant planning or data analysis experience, people management a plus
- Fluent oral and written communication in English & Mandarin.
- Familiar with MRP and ERP system, capacity planning process, inventory management and project management. Experienced working collaboratively in a matrix environment working in a collaborative matrix environment.
- Strong collaboration, influencing and convincing capability
- Strong analytical skills, with APICS or equivalent certification is a plus
- Confident with MS office tools, familiar with Power BI preferred, experience on other advanced digital tools is a plus
- Familiar with international ERP's (SAP, JDE Edwards Oracle)
- Data analysis skill preferred
- Self starter- high levels of personal accountability, and able to operate independently
