Teaching Assistant in the Department of Politics and Public Administration(Ref.: 530345) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should hold a masters or Ph.D. degree and have extensive knowledge of comparative politics, international relations or public administration. The Department particularly welcomes applicants with experience in researching and teaching international organizations. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English. Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience in internationally oriented higher education environments, and demonstrated competence in the application of quantitative and/or qualitative research methods.
The appointee will be expected to conduct tutorials for undergraduate and Common Core courses offered by the Department, mark students assignments under the guidance of lead instructors, lead summer internships, and perform any other academic-related duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
A salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
