ABOUT THE ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES

The job is based in Taiwan and fully remote. We ONLY consider candidates who are either Taiwan citizen, or people who don't require visa sponsorship.

We are currently helping a promising Silicon Valley startup find a highly motivated and talented tech lead, who'll take ownership of our cloud-based platform, driving innovation and delivering powerful solutions for high-growth consumer brands.

• Lead the development and scaling of Modus Plannings platform.
• Architect and build full-stack solutions using Node.js, Express, React, and Bootstrap.
• Design and manage AWS environments (ELB, RDS) to ensure high performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with product, design, and leadership teams to align tech strategy with business goals.
• Write unit tests using Tape.js and maintain code quality across the stack.
• Mentor junior developers and foster a high-performing engineering culture.
• Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

REQUIREMENTS

• Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript: Node.js, Express, React, Bootstrap.css.
• Experience with AWS (ELB, RDS) to manage scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Strong familiarity with unit testing frameworks like Tape.js, Cypress, Playwrite.
• Excellent communication skills, with professional level English fluency.
• A passion for leading technical projects from inception to completion.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, startup environment.
• Minimum 4 hours overlap with EST (GMT-5)
