Job Description
This position ensures temple ordinances are kept pure, recorded accurately and made available to worthy Church members by: Providing an environment where patrons may have a positive and uplifting experience each time they come to the temple and maintaining and operating temples at standards established by the First Presidency. This role reports to the Temple Recorder.
Responsibilities
- Assists with ordinance recording, reviewing, and verifying
- Monitors temple recording function and monitors computer system's operational problems with software as needed in all areas of the temple using computerized recording system
- Observes and optimizes the administration processes of the temple office
- Provides direct supervision and assists with recruiting, interviewing, scheduling, and training of volunteers and clerical employees
- Performs other administrative tasks as assigned and ensures that proper clerical, recording, and scheduling support is provided and properly trained
- Coordinates with local Priesthood Leaders for scheduling appointments of the local units and assists with questions related to temple ordinances and FamilySearch app
- Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Holds a valid temple recommend
- Associate degree with two years experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory experience is preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills
- Strong work ethics and accountability to deadlines, highly responsible to commitments
- Good problem-solving skills, adaptable, flexible in a changing environment
- Computer system skills with the ability to learn new programs as needed
- Fluent in written and oral English and Mandarin.
- Required to work on shift (including working on Saturday)
