1. Strong knowledge of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and
computational fluid dynamics simulations.
2. Experience with liquid-cooled and air-cooled design.
3. Validate and test the cooling system, and establish a database for subsequent
system use.
4. Develop thermal systems with associated structures, mechanisms, and
instrumentation elements to solve customer challenges, and see these elements
through build, test, integration, and operation.
5. Perform trades within the mechanical and thermal systems to provide
performance and system resource balance.
6. Design a cooling system for the battery system to ensure the battery is developed with
appropriate requirements, interfaces, and interactions to achieve specific
performance targets.

1. Experience in the automotive industry or liquid cooling system design.
2. Familiar with cooling system components such as pump, radiator, heat exchanger, heater, etc..
3. Outstanding design, packaging and 3D modeling skills. (e.g. Solidworks, Onshape).
4. Familiar with mechanical processing procedures and mechanical design specifications, such as CNC, plastic mold design, sheet metal, welding, heat treatment, screw selection, strength requirements, etc..
5. Ability to perform hand calculations and create spreadsheet models to do first order sizing of components.
6. Demonstrable motivation and ability to solve novel, difficult design problems with tight timing constraints.
